The Lunkin Run Good Continues Much to Gruissem's Dismay

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

There's no two ways about it... Vitaly Lunkin has been on fire the last few levels. That run good continued in a big hand at the feature table that resulted in the elimination of Philipp Gruissem.

It began when Lunkin opened for 32,000 from middle position and Gruissem defended from the big blind. The {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop saw Gruissem check-call a bet of 35,000 before he turned right around and led out for 60,000 on the {8-Clubs} turn.

Lunkin made the call, the {7-Spades} completed the board on the river and Gruissem bet 110,000. Lunkin snap-shoved and Gruissem seemed taken aback.

"It might be a slow roll," Gruissem said aloud as he began to talk about the hand. Eventually he called off for 276,000 more and tabled the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a full house. Unfortunately for him, Lunkin had a better one with the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Gruissem, who fired just one bullet in this tournament, seemed a bit shock but soon collected himself and exited the tournament.
