Sointula vs. Ignat and Reinkemeier vs. Lichtenberger

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

After Jani Sointula doubled through Tobias Reinkemeier with pocket aces, the former was sitting with a stack of 350,000 while the latter was knocked down to just 22,500.

On the very next hand, Joni Joukimainen opened for 11,500 from early position only to have Sointula three-bet to 27,000 from the button. Ignat "0Human0" Liviu then thought long and hard before four-betting to 53,500 in the small blind. Joukimainen got out of the way, Sointula called and it was heads-up action to the {k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop. Liviu was first to act and bet 37,000, which received a call from Sointula. After the dealer burned and turned the {8-Spades}, Liviu upped his bet to 65,000, and this time it did the trick as Sointula released his hand.

A short time later, action folded to Andrew Lichtenberger in the small blind and he moved all in to put the pressure on Reinkemeier. The German quickly called off for 21,000 and tabled the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}, which was well out in front of Lichtenberger's {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. The board ran out a clean {2-Spades}{7-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Reinkemeier received a much-needed double.
