Last year, Morten Mortensen finished tenth in this very event. Mortensen managed to notch back-to-back cashes by surviving the money bubble, but any hope he had of improving upon last year's finish just came to an end courtesy of Kevin Vandersmissen.
In the hand, Mortensen moved in from early position for 72,500 and Vandersmissen isolated by moving all in over the top from the cutoff. The rest of the players folded and the cards were turned up.

and Vandersmissen denied Mortensen another deep run.
