Fresh off a fourth-place finish in the Deutsche Bank Championship that completed Monday, one of Spain's most famous golfers Sergio Garcia sat down in a side event at EPT Barcelona today.
Jean-Noel Thorel is back in action at high roller event having played the Super High Roller and the Main Event. He’s currently on his second bullet in this event and is proving a tricky customer as usual at the table. In this hand he tangled with Chino Rheem.
Rheem opened for 3,800 and was three bet from the small blind by Thorel to 14,000. The big blind folded and Rhemm made the call. The flop was and Thorel moved all in for 55,000. Rheem could hardly believe this move was being made on him and seemed to be contemplating the call. “You’re probably going to win sir.” Rheem eventually thought better of it and folded.
Igor Kurganov and Sergio Aido took a flop of in a raised pot. Kurganov was first to act post-flop and checked over to his opponent. Aido shot out a bet of an unknown amount and Kurganov came right over the top for 11,500 total.
Aido wasted little time shipping all in over the top for what looked to be around 50,000 total. Kurganov called and the hands were shown.
Aido: {Ks]
Kurganov:
Kurganov was in the lead with his kings and a queen kicker, and kept that lead even as the board paired on the turn and river with the and . Aido took his leave and Kugranov brought his stack up to about 265,000.

We arrived at the table just as all of the money went in on the turn. The board read and Ognjen Sekularac triumphantly rolled over for top set. Philipp Gruissem, however, held for a turned flush and was ahead. Sekularac would have to improve on the river to stay alive but after the fell he realized that it was not meant to be.
Gruissem scooped up the pot and its now sitting around 205,000.

The clock has stopped and the players will play seven more hands before the end of play today.
Last week, Ole Schemion began the final day of the €50,000 Super High Roller as the chip leader. A few days after that, he was temporarily the chip leader in the Main Event. Now, amazingly, Schemion is the chip leader in the €10,000 High Roller.
It happened in a big hand against Vincent Verdickt and the winner of the €50,000 SHR, Vitaly Lunkin. The preflop details are a bit sketchy, but it appeared an unknown player opened and Schemion three-bet to 8,500 from the hijack. Verdickt then shoved all in for 18,000 from the cutoff, Lunkin five-bet to 30,000 and action folded back to Schemion.
The young German, who is not yet 21, enjoyed the massage he was receiving for a solid thirty seconds before spiking in a stack of blue T5,000 chips for a six-bet to 118,500. Lunkin shrugged and then slid in his chips, was right around the same amount.
Lunkin:
Schemion:
Verdickt:
Schemion got it in good and was looking to dodge aces and fives. With Lunkin and Verdickt both on their feet they watched helplessly as the board ran out . Lunkin shook hands with Schemion and then the dealer pushed the massive pot to the smiling German.

In the last hand of the night, a preflop raising war saw Iago Yaroshevskyy and Fabian Quoss both get their relatively short stacks in against Jason Mercier, who had the latter covered by just 13,800.

Quoss:
Quoss had the best of it and didn't look back as the board ran out clean. Yaroshevskyy busted and will be able to rebuy tomorrow if he chooses (assuming he didn't already today), but Mercier was stuck with 13,800 headed into Day 2.
