Simon Higgins Wins Huge Pot Against Oleksii Khoroshenin
Simon Higgins just won a monster pot 315,000 chip pot against Oleksii Khoroshenin to usurp the Ukranian at the top of the chip counts.
Higgins (under-the-gun+1), who finished second in the £10,000 High Roller at EPT London in October, had a bet of 20,000 in front of him and there was a bet of 12,500 in front of Khoroshenin. But the pre-flop betting wasn't done yet, Khoroshenin raised it to 35,000 and Higgins made the call.
So there was over 70,000 in the pot by the time the flop hit the felt, Khoroshenin fired out a bet of 28,500, Higgins then put too much into the pot, but not enough for it to go as a raise, so a call it was. The hit the turn, Khoroshenin set Higgins all-in for 92,000 and after taking his time Higgins called all in.
