Daniel Negreanu joking around as always
Daniel Negreanu joking around as always

"Make that the title," Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu said with a big grin as he was making his way to the exit.

"Just make sure it doesn't make it seem like I slow rolled him," Max Greenwood said, as he was the one who took Negreanu's chips.

Flash back five minutes.

"I just got it in, two pair against aces!" Negreanu yelled at your's truly who walked over to the table where this all went down.

"I had jacks on a jack-three-three flop," Negreanu started as everyone at the table started laughing, "So I got it in against aces and I somehow lost."

"And now I'm gonna get psyched for this £1k event, my brain is so weird sometimes," Negreanu yelled in excitement as he bounced around the room.

Greenwood appreciated the act Negreanu played, and just when the man with 146,000 chips was going to explain the entire story the Team PokerStars Pro returned to the scene.

"Yeah, so like I said," Negreanu started again, "I had jacks and the flop was jack-three-three. I got it in against aces and he won."

"As your backer I don't appreciate these lies!" Dan Smith joked as he joined the conversation. At this point the entire room was a part of the banter.

Negreanu also caught some flack for confusing Salman Behbehani with Ramzi Jelassi earlier in the tournament when he busted his first bullet.

"You kept saying you were slow rolled by Ramzi, but I don't seem him doing that at all," Steve O'Dwyer said recalling the situation from earlier where Negreanu was slow rolled out of the tournament by Behbehani who had turned a flush.

"Everyone gets slow rolled by Salman at some point in their life," O'Dwyer continued.

"Sometimes he even fake slow rolls," Smith added, as it was made clear that Jelassi's not a slow roller but Behbehani might be the king of giving people fake hope of winning money.

When the dust settled Negreanu wished everyone well and left the tournament room. Perhaps we'll see him in the £1,000 Turbo event tonight but otherwise he will probably play the next big event on the calendar. At this point Greenwood could finally explain to us what really went down in the last hand that Negreanu played in London.

After a raise Negreanu called and Greenwood squeeze with aces. The initial raiser folded and Negreanu called the 6,500 total. The flop brought {J-}{3-}{3-} and Greenwood bet 10,000, Negreanu called. On the turn a {K-} popped up and Greenwood bet 17,500 after which Negreanu moved all in for around 40,000 total. Greenwood made the call and was shown {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. The river was a blank and Negreanu was knocked out.
