Fabian Quoss has been in good form of late, having reached the final table of the WPT Grand Prix de Paris and then winning the €15,000 buy-in High Roller at the same festival. Along with playing well, the German is also running well too; as the following hand will demonstrate.
Ludovit Fischer opened to 525 from UTG+1 and he was called by Iosif Beskrovnyy to his immediate to left. Quoss was next to act and he squeezed to 1,800, only to see Soerren Voehrs put in a four-bet to 3,500. This last bet was enough to fold out Fischer and Beskrovnyy, but Quoss liked the look of his hand and he five-bet to 6,500. Voehrs opted to call and the pair shared a flop.
Quoss initially checked and then called as Voehrs bet 6,000. The on the turn was once again checked by Quoss, but Voehrs showed no signs of slowing down; in fact he moved all-in for 10,625. Quoss tanked for close to two minutes before calling, and the cards were revealed.

Quoss was behind but he still had outs to the heart flush. The dealer burned a card and placed the on the river, completing Quoss' flush and sending Voehrs to the sidelines.
William Davis, who once appeared on the PokerStars.net Big Game, opened to 425 from the hijack seat. Roman Korenev three-bet to 1,225 from the small blind, and Ismail Erkenov cold-called from the big blind.
Davis called as well, and the flop came . Korenev led for 2,000, and only Davis called.
The turn was the , Korenev checked, and Davis tossed out three red T1,000 chips. Korenev tank-folded, and "the cannon" raked in the pot.

On a flop reading and with 5,000 in the pot, Russia's Mikhail Korotkikh moved all-in from the small blind for 11,075 with what turned out to be . His sole opponent, Jorge Ufano, was seated to his direct left and he took little time in deciding to call with his .
Ufano looked delighted to get his stack in as a substantial favorite, but the look on his face soon changed when the fell on the turn. The completed the board and Korotkikh rose from his seat and vocally announced his delight at winning the hand in his native tongue.
On a flop of low cards and two hearts, Adrian Piasecki checked, Teodor Caraba bet 6,000, and Yuri Kudrinsky moved all in for right around 20,000. Piasecki got out of the way, but Caraba made the call.

Kudrinsky let it ride with a flush draw, and it was a gamble that didn't pay off as the turn and river both blanked. Kudrinsky was eliminated just shy of the break, while Caraba chipped up to 80,000.
Meanwhile, Liv Boeree has been eliminated from the tournament:
Well that was quick and painful. Nutflush into FH for 15k, AQ<JJ allin on Q32 and then KK<JJ aipf equals no chips left. Very sad panda.December 09 2012Follow

The action folded around to Peppino Finocchi on the button and he did what any self respecting poker player would do and he attempted to steal the blinds with a raise to 525.
The small blind folded, but Matan Krakow three-bet to 1,250 from his big blind seat. Finocchi called and it was heads-up to the flop. Krakow continued his story with a continuation bet of 1,800 and after some deliberation Finocchi folded.
William Davis was once a Loose Cannon on the PokerStars Big Game, but now he's a full-time pro, living in Turks and Caicos and making his living from the game. He's also playing EPT Prague, where PokerStars Blog caught up with him on Day 1A.
Maurizio Braco checked with the board reading , and Fabrice Soulier fired 2,400 into a pot of around 5,000.
"Ace-king?" Braco asked.
Soulier didn't respond, rather he silently stared at Braco with his scarf covering his mouth.
Braco eventually grabbed a handful of chips and made the call. Soulier turned over for a pair of aces, and Braco mucked.
