Engel Playing Well And Running Well

Any poker player will tell you that when they are playing well at the same time as running well it is a deadly combination. That is something that is happening to Ari Engel right now; it is as if he can do no wrong!

Niclas Martinsson opened in the hijack with a raise to 3,300 and Engel defended his small blind by three-betting to 7,300. Martinsson called and it was heads-up to the {5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop. Engel lead out for 6,700 and Martinson wasted no time in calling.

The {a-Spades} turn looked like the perfect card to fire a second barrel on and Engel though so; he made it 9,700 to play and once again Martinsson called.

Completing the board was the {7-Diamonds} and Engel fired again. This time his bet was a much more substantial 17,400, but that did not stop Martinsson snap-calling.

Martinsson: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Engel: {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Engel won with his straight and passes through the 200,000 chip barrier.
