Straight For Jelassi

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Ramzi Jelassi opened on the button and Aleh Plauski called from the big blind. The duo checked the {3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop and Plauski checked again on the {7-Clubs} turn.

Jelassi bet 145,000 and Plauski called. The fifth and final community card was the {A-Diamonds} and Plauski checked again. Jelassi bet 295,000 and was instantly called by his opponent.

Jelassi opened {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a turned straight and Plauski snap-mucked.

Double for Warrington

When you really need a double up there's not many better spots than to look down and see aces after an under the gun raise. Especially when the opener is Sergey Kuzminskiy who has hardly played a hand so far.

The Russian opened to 120,000 and tank-called when Warrington moved all in for 715,000 from mid position.

The board ran {4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} to miss both players.

Warrington, who has close links to Spain after living there for ten years, celebrated with his own and Diego Gomez's supporters.

Warrington Very Short Stacked

Ben Warrington is down to just 735,000 and is in all-in or fold territory.

On hand #59 of the final table, the action passed around to Warrington on the button and the young Brit opened the betting with a raise to 125,000. The small blind folded but Aleh Plauski three-bet to 1,800,000. The oversized three-bet was designed to put Warrington all-in, but he did not take the bait and Plauski won without a showdown.

Mark Herm Eliminated in 8th Place (€75,000)

It took 52 hands for us to finally lose a player, and it was the short stacked Mark Herm.

He had hold of Sotirios Koutoupas' chips for precisely one hand. The man from Greece opened off the button and called in a flash when Herm shoved for 1.19m from the small blind.

Herm: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Koutoupas: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran {3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} to make Koutoupas a full house by the turn.

Herm Wins Strange Hand

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Usually when players are down to 10-12 big blinds they waste no time in getting their stacks into the middle, but not Mark Herm.

Sotirios Koutoupas opened to 125,000 from the small blind and Herm made the call in the big blind. The {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop saw both players check, but Koutoupas lead out for 125,000 when the {k-Hearts} landed on the turn. Herm called and it was off to the {8-Hearts} river.

Koutoupas checked, Herm bet 310,000 — over half of his remaining stack — and Koutoupas folded.

Kuzminskiy Gets Involved

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Sergey Kuzminskiy has been playing a very tight game at the final table so far, but has just played a hand against David Boyaciyan.

It was Boyaciyan who kicked off the preflop betting round, setting the price to play at 140,000 from his seat in the hijack. Kuzminskiy was next to act and he three-bet to 310,000. Boyaciyan called and it was heads-up to the {5-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop.

Boyaciyan checked to his Russian opponent, who bet 475,000, forcing Boyaciyan to fold.

Round Two to Boyaciyan Again

Aleh Plauski and David Boyaciyan tangled in an almost identical pot to the one earlier than the latter took down, and ended in the same result.

Plauski opened to 120,000 from the hijack and then four-bet to 650,000 when Boyaciyan three-bet to 280,000.

The flop fell {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and Plauski continued for 500,000. In the last hand Boyaciyan shoved but here he elected to min raise to 1,000,000. The move was just as effective as Plauski was forced to fold.

Boyaciyan Wins a Huge Pot

David Boyaciyan is now second in chips after he came of best in a clash with Aleh Plauski.

It was Plauski who opened the betting with a raise to 180,000 from the hijack. Boyaciyan was on the button and he three-bet to 300,000; but that was not the last of the betting. Plauski then four-bet to 725,000 and Boyaciyan called.

Flop: {J-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} - Plauski made a continuation bet of 700,000 but quickly folded when Boyaciyan raised all in for 2,790,000 chips.
