Romanello's Quads Paid Off
Roberto Romanello is up to 48,000 chips after having quads paid off. We were doing our rounds on the tournament floor when we noticed Romanello's increased stack size and he told us, sporting his trademark smile, that he was in a pot where there was 9,000 in the middle and he overbet shoved for 19,000 and was called. Unfortunately for the caller Romanello was sat their with four-of-a-kind threes and he scooped the pot.
Whilst we were asking the former EPT Prague champion what had happened Ramin Hajiyev piped up and asked him to tell us how the hand progressed before the shove on the river but Romanello first joked, "I was only in the pot because you were. There's value when you're in there," before telling us, "I don't care how you write it as long as the chips come to me!"
The certainly did go to Romanello and now he has a nice stack in front of him we fully expect him to become more vocal!
