Day 4 Begins; Inge Forsmo Maintains Lead
We're back for Day 4 of the EPT Sanremo Main Event! Yesterday's play saw the returning players play four 90-minute levels during which the bubble was popped and the field was reduced to merely 66 returning players. Inge Forsmo, who held the chip lead going into Day 3, is once again atop the leader board going into Day 4.
Yesterday's play saw a slew of notable faces hit the rail before making the money. Jude Ainsworth, Andre Akkari, Pius Heinz, Sam Trickett, Jose "Nacho" Barbero, Kyle Cheong, and Bryan Paris were among those players.
While those players were unable to make the money, others thrived as the tournament progressed. Returning big stacks are Angelo Recchia (851,000), Carmelo Vasta (844,000), Laurent Polito (717,000), David Vamplew (547,000), Alex Roumeliotis (505,000) and Isaac Haxton (488,000). Others still in contention going into Day 4 include Matt Salsberg, Shaun Deeb, Roberto Romanello, Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Justin Bonomo.
Cards will be in the air soon and we'll be on hand to provide you with all of the latest updates! The plan is to play down to the top 24 but the field may play on if that number is reached quickly. Be sure to stay tuned for all of the action from the felt here on PokerNews
