Lacay's Lead Grows

Action folded around to Angelo Recchia who raised to 200,000 from the button. It folded to Ludovic Lacay's big blind and he three-bet to 500,000. Recchia would not be swayed, however, as he pushed out a four-bet to 850,000.

Lacay wasted no time five-betting all in and Recchia went into the tank contemplating for his tournament life. Eventually he relented and folded his hand, awarding Lacay the pot.

Adrian Piasecki Eliminated in 7th Place (€96,000)

EPT Sanremo Final Table, now minus Adrian Piasecki
EPT Sanremo Final Table, now minus Adrian Piasecki

Ludovic Lacay has rocketed back into the chip lead after he eliminated Adrian Piasecki and took a chunk out of Jason Lavallee at the same time.

Lacay opened to 200,000 from under the gun before Piasecki moved all in for 1,455,000 from the cut off. Lavallee had a tough decision and ended up calling with {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, and then folding when Lacay shoved to isolate behind him.

Lacay: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Piasecki: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Lacay found himself in such an incredible spot and the {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} board did not disappoint him.

Lacay Dents Piasecki

Adrian Piasecki is the short stack after he lost a big pot to Ludovic Lacay, who in turn has caught up with Jason Lavallee.

Lacay opened the pot from under the gun with a raise to 160,000 and was only called by the Pole from the cut-off.

The flop fell {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Piasecki bet 195,000 when the action was checked to him. Lacay called before both went on to check the {7-Hearts} turn.

The river came {a-Clubs} and Lacay checked for a third time. This invited Piasecki to bet again, for 265,000. Lacay sat stoically for more than a minute and then slid out a check-raise to 265,000.

Piasecki called with {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} but lost out to Lacay who made two pair on the river with {a-Spades}{9-Spades}.
