After Bryn Kenney checked the {K-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, Andrey Bondar bet 4,900. Team PokerStars Pro Jonathan Duhamel made the call behind, then Kenney folded.

The {9-Clubs} landed on the turn, and Bondar checked. Duhamel bet 11,200, and Bondar called.

The river was the {8-Hearts}, and Bondar checked again. Duhamel fired 26,400, and Bondar quickly called.

Duhamel showed the {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the nut flush. Bondar showed the {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for the second nut flush, but lost the pot.

Andrulis Doubles

From early position, Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov raised to 3,200. Pier Paolo Ruscalla called on the button, and Kristijonas Andrulis reraised to 8,500 from the big blind. Katchalov folded, and Ruscalla called.

The flop came down {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, and Andrulis bet 7,500. Ruscalla made the call to see the {7-Clubs} fall on the turn. Andrulis slowed down with a check, but after Ruscalla fired 13,500, Andrulis revved things back up with an all-in check-raise to 42,200. Ruscalla called.

Andrulis showed the {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and was up against the {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for Ruscalla. From there, the river completed the board with the {4-Diamonds}, and Andrulis doubled.

Karr Crashes Into Tureniec

McLean Karr on Day 1.
McLean Karr on Day 1.

A preflop raising war saw McLean Karr get his stack of approximately 65,000 all in preflop and he was at risk against Michael Tureniec.

Showdown
Tureniec: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
McLean Karr: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

Karr was crushed, but the {3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades} flopped seemed to pick up his spirits a bit. "Oh, a four," Karr said with a smile alluding to the fact that a four would result in a chopped pot. The {J-Clubs} turn was not what he was looking for, and neither was the {A-Spades} river. Karr shook hands with the table and then took his leave in the latter half of Level 10.

Gruissem Catchs a Jack

Action folded around to Philipp Gruissem on the button and he raised to 3,500. Igor Yaroshevskyy then three-bet to 8,500 from the big blind, Gruissem four-bet all in for 47,000, and Yaroshevskyy snap-called.

Showdown
Yaroshevskyy: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Gruissem: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}

Both players shared a queen, but Yaroshevskyy's ace made him a huge favorite. That all changed on the {J-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop when Gruissem hit his jack and took a commanding lead. Yaroshevskyy couldn't seem to believe his luck and watched hopelessly as the {3-Diamonds} appeared on the turn followed by the {6-Spades} on the river.

Six on the River Spells Doom for Reinkemeier

Tobias Reinkemeier on Day 1.
Tobias Reinkemeier on Day 1.

Action folded to Dan O'Brien in the small blind and he raised to 3,200. Tobias Reinkemeier then moved all in from the big blind for 33,400, and after thinking about it for a minute, O'Brien made the call.

Showdown
Reinkemeier: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
O'Brien: {5-Spades}{6-Spades}

Reinkemeier seemed surprised to be ahead, but he wasn't thrilled to see O'Brien drawing live to low cards. The {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop was safe enough for Reinkemeier, as was the {7-Clubs} turn; in fact, that card gave the German a flush draw and took away a bunch of O'Brien's outs. Reinkemeier seemed to have a double in the bag, but then the {6-Diamonds} spiked on the river to pair O'Brien.

A shell-shocked Reinkemeier stared at the board for a moment and then took his leave from the tournament.

Keven Stammen (Day 1)
Keven Stammen (Day 1)

Keven Stammen just hit set over set against Istvan Birizdo. The board was {10-}{9-}{5-}{2-} when the money went in, and it was Stammen's {10-}{10-} versus Birizdo's {9-}{9-}. The river was another {5-} to pair the board and eliminated Birizdo.

With that pot, Stammen moved well over 300,000 in chips and now has the chip lead.

Andrew Lichtenberger (Day 1)
Andrew Lichtenberger (Day 1)

Not too long ago, it was reported that Andrew Lichtenberger doubled through Carlo Savinelli. Well, Lichtenberger has just been eliminated, and it was Savinelli who got all of his chips.

According to tablemate Dan O'Brien, Lichtenberger three-bet, then called Savinelli's four-bet before check-raising all in on a flop of {5-}{4-}{2-} with {A-}{Q-}. Savinelli held pocket kings and they held up from there to eliminate Lichtenberger.
