Parlez-Vous Français?

Team PokerStars Pro, WSOP Main Event Champ and Proud French-Canadian Jonathan Duhamel had just been moved over to Kara Scott's table when a rather interesting discussion started.

It turns out, despite French being Duhamel's native tongue, no one over here in France understands much of his, apparently very formal, French-Canadian dialect.

Things got quiet, however, when Scott decided to put in a raise to 1,100 chips pre-flop. She got one caller, who promptly folded to a 1,700-chip continuation bet on the {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop and the discussion continued.

M.I.A

Constant Rijkenberg got off to a good start but his seat is now filled by another, so we're assuming he's out.

Mathew Frankland never got off to a good start, and it only got worse. His lovely table mate, Kara Scott, confirmed he busted. There's always the side events for him to donate to, I mean, participate in.

Collado Can't Gain Traction

Abdelkader Chetioui opened to 750 in early position and Jan Collado called on the button.

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Chetioui checked. Collado bet 1,025, quicky getting called by Chetioui to land the {A-Clubs} on the turn. Both checked, doing the same when the {7-Diamonds} hit the river.

Chetioui tabled {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}, besting Collado's holdings to win the pot.

Mitchell Fights Back

2010 Irish Open winner James Mitchell has had a tough start here at EPT Deauville, but managed to gain back a little ground in a recent hand.

He made it 700 under the gun and only the big blind called. After the {j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop and a check from the Big Blind, Mitchell made it 900, but couldn't shake this non-believer.

He quickly became convinced, however, when Mitchell bet 1,600 on the {k-Clubs} turn and his cards hit the muck, sending Mitchell back up over the 12k mark.

McDouble for McCorkell

Craig McCorkell is breathing easier now after he doubled through Abdellatif Salah. The two saw a {10-}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} flop and the chips ended up in the middle.

McCorkell held {k-}{10-} and had to fade the world on the next two streets as Salah tabled {6-Spades}{4-Spades}. He did just that and has18,000 now.

Misclick

A mistake by one player turned into some good fortune for Marchel Masaladzhiu and he's now among the leaders with a 93k stack.

The floor had to be called in to make a ruling when the player threw out a 5k chip thinking he was calling Masaladzhiu's 2,200-chip bet. In the end, it was ruled a raise because it was more than double the amount of the bet and Masaladzhiu replied by shipping it in.

His opponent called off the rest of his 20k+ stack with {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and would need some serious help against Masaladzhiu's {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

None would come on the {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} board and Masaladzhiu claimed another victim on his way up the leaderboard.
