Anton Wigg Eliminated in 14th Place (€30,000)

Anton Wigg will not become the first-ever double EPT champion because he has just been sent to the rail by Vladimir Geshkenbein; now the last remaining former champ in the field.

Geshkenbein had just been moved to the table and was playing his first hand and decided to test the waters of his new shark infested home with a raise to 50,000 from the cutoff. Anton Wig three-bet but we did not get the amount because Geshkenbein shoved and Wigg snap-called him.

Wigg: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Geshkenbein:{K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

Geshkenbein's timing way off in this hand and he looked quite embarrassed in all honesty. He said, "at least i have outs" before the dealer put out the {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}[ flop. Both players made a pair but Wigg was way in front, that was until the {K-Diamonds} landed on the turn. Wigg rose from his seat and had the look of a man who hated poker as he did so. The river was the {7-Hearts} and Wigg was eliminated from the Main Event.

Ever the gentleman, Wigg ensured he shook each and every surviving player's hand before heading to the payout desk 13 places before he wanted to.
