Kitai Back in Front

On the {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, Mario Puccini checked with the {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and [Removed:284] bet 300,000 holding the {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Davidi Kitai called with top pair holding the {A-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Puccini folded his gutshot straight draw.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and Puccini would have hit his Broadway straight. Unfortunately, he wasn't in the hand anymore. The two remaining players, [Removed:287] and Kitai, both checked.

The river was the {8-Clubs} and [Removed:287] bet 500,000. Kitai made the call and won the pot to retake the chip lead.

Puccuni Moves in to the Chip Lead

This level has belonged to Mario Puccini. He's just won another pot against Andrew Chen and with it took over the chip lead.

Puccini opened from the button and continued on the {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop. Chen defended his big blind and check-called the flop. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and Chen check-called a 375,000 bet to head to the {3-Clubs} river.

Puccini emptied the clip with a 700,000 bet when his opponent checked to him for a third time. Chen took a lot longer this time before he called with {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. He soon mucked when he saw Puccini's {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a bigger full house.

[Removed:287] Shows His Cards And His Inexperience

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

The standard the game is played to these days is so high that most players don't have any tells but you can still pick up some clues into the experience of players.

Davidi Kitai opened to 175,000 under the gun with {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Mario Puccini made the call with {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. The action was then on [Removed:284] and he moved all in for 2,540,000, which forced both opponents out of the pot. As they did [Removed:287] showed {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}, not the first time he has shown his holding, something picked up by the commentary team. This coupled with the fact he has his chips stacked in 10 not 20 as is "the norm" shows [Removed:287]'s lack of experience in these events.

[Removed:287] Check-Raises Kitai

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Davidi Kitai open-limped the button with {Q-Spades}{8-Hearts}, the small blind folded and [Removed:284] checked his big blind with {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}. The flop came down {j-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and [Removed:287] initially checked then when Kitai took a 90,000 stab he leapt into action and made it 250,000 to play. Kitai had seen enough and he got out of the way.

Bahadir Kilickeser Eliminated in 5th Place (€172,000)

Bahadir Kilickeser
Bahadir Kilickeser

From the button, Andrew Chen raised to 175,000 with the {K-Spades}{J-Spades}. Bahadir Kilickeser called from the big blind with the {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and flopped bottom pair on the {J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop. Kilickeser checked and Chen bet 225,000. Instantly, Kilickeser check-raised all in for 2.11 million. Chen didn't look like he liked it, but he made the call anyway.

Chen's top pair was ahead and he stayed there after the {3-Diamonds} hit the turn. The {2-Spades} fell on the river and didn't help Kilickeser. He was eliminated in fifth place and took home €172,000. With this pot, Chen has claimed the chip lead with four players left.

Sevens for Puccini

Mario Puccini is making a move up through the counts and becoming a real force. He won two pots on the bounce with pocket sevens to move past the six million mark.

His {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} better Anderew Chen's {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} on a {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board. Chen was the aggressor up until the turn where the rest of the hand was checked down.

Then he called a Davidi Kitai raise with {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and bet the turn of a {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} board to get the Belgian to fold his {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Puccini Takes The Fight To Kitai

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Mario Puccini has read Davidi Kitai perfectly to win a pot with jack high. Kitai was in the big blind with {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and he lead out with a 275,000 bet on a {Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{K-Diamonds} flop. Puccini made the call with {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and the dealer put out the {8-Hearts} turn.

Kitai fired again, testing the waters with a 550,000 bet and Puccini called once again. Kitai checked the arrival of the {6-Hearts} river but Puccini pounced and bet 875,000 into the 2,580,000 pot. Kitai, who has not put a foot wrong on this final table, tanked for over a minute before finally folding his hand.

As Kitai folded Puccini showed him a jack and received a smile in repsonse.
