Action River Card Allows Anton to Double

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Ole Schemion raised to 60,000 from the hijack and was met by a three-bet to 160,000 from Ilari Sahamies on the button. Sinel Anton came along from the small blind, Schemion made the call, and it was three-way action to the {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop. Anton checked, Sahamies bet, two calls ensued, and the {7-Clubs} turn.

After all three players checked, the {10-Hearts} spiked on the river and Anton moved all in for 1.326 million. Schemion didn't seemed thrilled but made the call nonetheless, while Sahamies tanked for a solid two minutes before releasing his hand.

Anton rolled over {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for the rivered nuts, while Schemion showed {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the rivered second nuts.

[Removed:273] Eliminated in 13th Place (€40,400)

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

We're not sure of the betting, but we do know that over at the feature table [Removed:273] was all in preflop with {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and up against the {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} of Morten Mortensen. Casals was in need of some help to keep his EPT Barcelona Main Event hopes alive, but the {5-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop left him wanting. The {8-Diamonds} turn gave him a gut-shot straight draw, but the {10-Clubs} would blank on the river by pairing the board.

With that, Casals' run came to an end in 13th place for €40,400.

Jacks Good for a Mortensen Double

A preflop raising war over at the feature table resulted in Morten Mortensen being all in preflop for 972,000 and at risk against Antonin Duda.

Showdown
Duda: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Mortensen: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}

Mortensen was ahead but you wouldn't know it by looking at him. Both men sat unemotional as the board ran out an uninspiring {7-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{A-Diamonds}.

Aku Joentausta Eliminated in 14th Place (€40,400)

Aku Joentausta - 14th Place
Aku Joentausta - 14th Place

If you're going to out, why not go out in a blaze of glory? Aku Joentausta won't be thinking that right now, he'll be ruing his failed bluff attempt.

He raised to 65,000 from under the gun and was called by Ole Schemion in the cut-off and Ilari Sahamies in the small blind. Joentausta continued for 100,000 on the {j-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} flop and was called by both players.

Schemion was the only player who called Joentausta's 300,000 bet on the {6-Diamonds} turn. The river came {2-Spades} and Joentausta "emptied the clip" by betting all his remaining 1,190,000 chips.

Schemion looked like he wanted to call but it took him five minutes to seemingly pluck up the courage to slide the calling chips forward with his {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for top two-pair. It was good too as the Finn only had {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

Juanda Gets More from Duda

John Juanda
John Juanda

At the main feature table John Juanda opened the hand with a raise to 67,000 from the button and Antonin Duda called from the big blind.

The flop ran {5-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} and Juanda continued for 78,000. Duda called. The Czech took over on the {A-Clubs} turn betting 160,000 and Juanda check-called. The {2-Clubs} on the river was followed by the 300,000 bet from Juanda. It was too much for Duda and he folded the hand.

Schemion Takes It on the River

Jonathan Karamilikis raised to 60,000 from the hijack and received a call from Samuel Rodriguez in the cutoff. Ole Schemion then three-bet to 150,000 from the button, only Karamalikis called, and the flop fell {2-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Karamalikis proceeded to check-call a bet of 155,000, and then check-called a bet of 263,000 on the {A-Spades} turn. The Australian checked for a third time on the {Q-Clubs} river, and Schemion moved all in for 1.4 million. Karamalikis thought long and hard before releasing his hand.
