Reinkemeier Leads Final 12 Into Day 3
Well, that was a long day of poker and tomorrow's set to be just as long with the plan to play out to a winner in the 2012 PokerStars.com European Poker Tour Barcelona €10,000 High Roller. When the day began, 76 players returned. Just 12 remain heading into the third and final day with Tobias Reinkemeier on top of the pack with 714,000 in chips.
Reinkemeier is no stranger to European High Roller events. Back in 2010, he won the €25,000 High Roller at the EPT Grand Final for €956,000. In 2011, he took second in the World Poker Tour Vienna €10,000 High Roller for €104,560. Already in 2012, Reinkemeier's placed second in the GCOP €10,000 High Roller for €93,000 and second in the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final €100,000 Super High Roller for €1,064,000.
The big hand that really vaulted Reinkemeier up the leader board cames as the money bubble was near and he got involved in a pot with Kristijonas Andrulis. Reinkemeier had raised under the gun to 20,000 and Andrulis called from the big blind to see the 
flop. After Andrulis led with a bet of 18,000, Reinkemeier called to see the 
pair the board on the turn. Andrulis checked and Reinkemeier bet 40,000. Andrulis check-raised to 150,000 and Reinkemeier tank-shoved for 261,000. Andrulis called with the 
, but was behind Reinkemeier's

and gave Reinkemeier the big pot.
Plenty of notables came back for Day 2, but failed to keep their head above water. Team PokerStars Pros Pius Heinz, Angel Guillen and Jason Mercier were amongst those that busted before the money and joining them on the rail were Mike McDonald, Masa Kagawa, Kyle Julius, Juha Helppi and Peter Jetten.
As the day wore on, the field grew closer and closer to the money bubble. After JC Alvarado went out in 14th place, it was bubble time and the two remaining tables went to hand-for-hand play. On the bubble, Grzegorz Derkowski was the shortest stack and ran his

for Laurent Polito. A board of 
proved to be the end of Derkowski and ensured the last 12 a payday of €24,470.
Other big names still in the field are Team PokerStars Pros Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier and Jonathan Duhamel. They bagged up 468,000 and 335,000, respectively.
Play will resume tomorrow at 1:00 PM local time. First, a final table must be reached and that will be followed by working towards crowning a winner.
