Just When You Think You Have Seen It All

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

When you consider that you are 11 places away from being crowned the EPT Grand Final Champion and collecting €1,600,000 in prize money, you wouldn't think you would see this.

Alex Mostafavi raised from under the gun when he made it a whopping 185,000 to play. The action folded around to Lucille Cailly on the button and she was completely flummoxed. After a long hard think she decided to make the call and the pair shared a flop.

Flop: {9-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {5-Spades}

"I am all-in," said Mostofavi before the last card had even settled.

Cailly's head dropped into her arms and she looked distraught. Meanwhile Mostofavi just started reading his book; the calmest man in the building. After a while Mostofavi turned around to Cailly and said, "You are a great player and I would dearly love to see you with me on the final table."

With that Cailly folded and Mostafavi showed her pocket Kings, which produced a sigh of relief because Cailly had folded pocket jacks.
