Here's Tommy

Tommy Vedes just showed up hot off his victory at the World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Showdown two days ago where he won his second WPT title for just under $800,000. He's a bit late to the party, but it's not his fault.

Vedes' flight was scheduled to land at 2:30 PM in Nice, France and then he'd be on his way to the tournament. A little late, but he wouldn't lose too many blinds as he was going to be entered right at the end of registration. Well, after a two-hour flight delay and some other issues getting in the way, Vedes didn't show up until a little bit after 6:00 PM. Blinded down or not, he was ready to go and ready to run it up.

Shortly after sitting at his table, Vedes was involved in a three-way pot on the {9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop. The first player checked and then Vedes fired 1,700. Behind him, Aubin Cazals made the call and then the first player called.

The turn was the {A-Spades} and the first player checked again. Vedes didn't slow down and stuck out a bet of 2,725. Cazals folded, but the first player folded.

The river completed the board with the {10-Diamonds} and the first player checked. Vedes fired 5,775 and his opponent folded. Better late than never and Vedes is up to 38,000.
