Veldhuis Chipping Up

Samir Moukawem raised to 600 from the hijack seat and Team PokerStars Pro Lex Veldhuis called from the button. Everyone else folded and the flop came down {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Moukawem fired out 700 and Veldhuis made the call.

The turn was another diamond with the {5-Diamonds} falling. After Moukawem bet 1,000, Veldhuis made the call.

The {4-Diamonds} landed on the river and yet another diamond was on the board. Moukawem checked and Veldhuis bet 2,700. Moukawem folded and Veldhuis flipped up one card, the {A-Hearts}.

"Opps, I thought it was the {A-Diamonds}," said Veldhuis with a smile.

On the next hand, Yann Dion raised from the hijack seat and Veldhuis called from the cutoff seat. Fowzi Baroukh called from the button and Michel Carvin called from the big blind. All four players saw the flop come down {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and action checked over to Veldhuis. He bet 1,100 and all of his opponents folded.

Veldhuis is now up to right around 40,000 in chips.
