Schwartz Pays Kurganov the Rent

Noah Schwartz raised to 45,000 in the cutoff and Igor Kurganov called in the small blind. The flop was {K-Hearts} {6-Spades} {4-Hearts} and both players checked. On the turn we saw the {9-Diamonds} and Kurganov decided to lead with a bet of 74,000 and Schwartz called.

The action card was the {9-Diamonds} on the river. Kurganov bet 162,000, which was half of the Schwartz stack. Schwartz counted out the call, murmured to himself, performed several hand gestures that Italian soccer players would be proud of, pinched his bottom lip and when he released it the words, "call," fell out.

"I have king-queen," said Kurganov and Noah Schwartz's hand flew into the muck
