Just When You Thought It Was All Over….

Neuville back in the lead
Neuville back in the lead

It looked for all the world that Mickey Petersen had finally got a grip on this heads up match. He had come from behind to created a 2.1:1 chip lead and then this happened.

Neuville raised to 200,000 on the button and Petersen made the call. The flop was {7-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} and Petersen check-called a 250,000 Neuville c-bet. On the turn we saw the {9-Spades} and the same action ensued, this time for 600,0000. The final card was the {K-Diamonds}, and after Petersen checked, Neuville moved all-in for 1,300,000.

While Petersen was considering his move, Neuville took his glasses off and placed them on his head. Was this a show of strength or weakness? Petersen must have thought it was weakness because he made the call and Neuville showed him {9-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} for the flopped nuts and Petersen mucked his hand.

Neuville takes a small chip lead as we move into a 45-minute break here at EPT Copenhagen.
