Rasmussen Makes Solid Call To Climb Past 500,000 Chips
Jacob Rasmussen is up to 560,000 chips after making a good call on the river against American Spencer Hudson.
It was Rasmussen who opened the betting to 16,000 from early position and after Michael Tureniec folded Hudson three-bet to 41,000. The action then passed around to Steve O'Dwyer in the big blind who asked each of the active players in turn how many chips they had, but at the last minute he scrapped any plans on four-betting and he folded his hand. Rasmussen called and it was heads-up to the flop.
Flop: - Rasmussen, his head on his left hand, tapped the table and checked. Hudson immediately reached for chips and made it 45,000 to play. A count of 30 seconds and Rasmussen made the call.
Turn: - The turn failed to inspire either party and when Rasmussen checked Hudson quickly checked behind.
River: - Rasmussen checked again and Hudson fired a bet of 95,000. Rasmussen looked puzzled by the bet and you could see he was replaying the hand over in his head. Eventually he flicked a single blue 5,000 chip forwards and said, "That's a call by the way."
