A Couple of Short Ones

Martins Adeniya is looking to continue his successful EPT Season. He defended from the big blind when Martin El-Kher raised to 1,000 from the hijack. The flop fell {10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Adeniya led for 1,200. Call. The turn came {9-Diamonds} and Adeniya flicked in three 1k chips. That was enough to get his opponent off the hand.

On the next table along Allan Baekke, who's been on a sort of maternity leave from the EPT since this event last season, is going along very well. He was out-kicked in a hand by Stefan Hoing but the river came to save him. The board read {6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Baekke had bets called on the flop and the river, with the turn being checked. Baekke opened {a-Clubs}{9-Spades} and chopped with Hoing who opened {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.
