Jacob Rasmussen Eliminated in 5th Place (490,000 DKK)

Rasmussen out in 5th
Rasmussen out in 5th

Jacob Rasmussen didn't manage to double up for a third time and leaves us in 5th place.

Mickey Petersen opened to 60,000 and made a considered looking call when Rasmussen three-bet all-in from the next seat for 608,000.

Rasmussen: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Petersen: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Petersen didn't hit on the {9-Hearts}{a-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop but he went two-to-one favourite. The turn came {6-Hearts} to make the Team Online's flush and end the hand. The river was the {3-Clubs}.

Petersen will take some stopping now.

Petersen Extends Lead

Mickey Petersen has extended his lead in the European Poker Tour Copenhagen Main Event after taking more chips from Aage Ravn.

Petersen opened to 60,000 and Ravn called from the big blind. Ravn then "donk" bet into Petersen on a {Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} flop and Petersen called. The {2-Hearts} turn prompted a check from Ravn and has been the case lately whenever Ranv has checked when Petersen bet 110,000 Ravn folded.

Ravn Losses Some Ground

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Aage Ravn opened from the small blind and Bjarke Hansen made the call in the big blind. A flop reading {6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} was placed on the table and Ravn lead out with a bet of 75,000, a bet that Hansen had no qualms about calling. The turn brought the {4-Hearts} into play and Ravn bet again, making it 100,000 to play and again Hansen stuck around and made the call.

The fifth and final community card was the {3-Hearts} and now Ravn reached forwards, tapped the table and checked. Hansen has show throughout this tournament that he favours the bet rather than check and he showed this again by betting 250,000. Ravn pondered his options before deciding folding was the best of them and that is what he did.

Petersen Milks Neuville, Claims Chip Lead

Into the lead
Into the lead

Pierre Neuville took a different line against Mickey Petersen and it cost him a lot of chips.

Petersen opened from the button and c-bet a {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} flop. Neuville called both times and then led for 85,000 on the {4-Spades} turn. The PokerStars Team Online player called and then faced a 125,000 bet on the {k-Spades} river. He responded by raising to 300,000 and the Team PokerStars Pro made the call. Petersen opened {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a set and the Neuville folded.

Rasmussen Doubles Up Again

Bjarke Hansen opened up to 60,000 in first position and Jacob Rasmussen moved all-in for 311,000, from the button. Hansen made a very reluctant call and we had a showdown.

Hansen{K-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}
Rasmussen{A-Spades} {10-Clubs}

Board: {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {4-Diamonds}

Hansen with a rather generous gift and Rasmussen now has 687,000.

Rasmussen Doubles But Is Still Short

Fresh from being crippled by Bjarke Hansen, Jacob Rasmussen has just doubled up but is still very short indeed. Rasmussen open-shoved for 159,000 and gets a call from Hansen.

Hansen{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Rasmussen{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Hansen held the advantage but Rasmussen had two live cards. The {8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop hit Rasmussen but Hansen still had outs. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn took some of those outs away as a diamond would improve Rasmussen to a flush.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} completing Hansen's straight but also Rasmussen's flush! Rasmussen is still the short stack with 366,000 chips.

Rasmussen Ruffled

Rasmussen is now at the bottom of the counts.
Rasmussen is now at the bottom of the counts.

Bjarke Hansen had been forced to patiently lay down a series of raises to three-bets prior to this hand.

Hansen raised to 60,000 and Jacob Rasmussen three-bet to 160,000 on the button. Hansen decided to cold-call out of position and the dealer gave them a flop of {10-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}. Hansen came into the pot with a small check-raise after Rasmussen had bet 140,000. The price was 320,000 and Rasmussen decided to pay it and we moved onto the turn.

The turn card was the {A-Diamonds} and Hansen moved all-in for around 500,000 (which was a pot sized bet) and Rasmussen called.

Hansen{Q-Hearts} {Q-Spades}
Rasmussen{10-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}

So Rasmussen was hoping for a diamond or a ten to bring down the quietly played pre flop pocket queens of Hansen.

River: {5-Spades}

Hansen moved up to over 2 million and Rasmussen is now our short stack with 167,000
