Gastaldi Hiding the Orange
Patrick Gastaldi opened to 85,000, and Kevin MacPhee three-bet to 235,000 from the blinds. Gastaldi called, and the flop came . Acting rather quickly, MacPhee continued out with 175,000, which Gastaldi matched, and the landed on the turn. Once again, MacPhee bet quickly -- 510,000 this time. Gastaldi had just less than 1.3 million chips left, but MacPhee didn't realize it because the stack of the T25,000 chips was in back of Gastaldi's stack, almost completely obscured to MacPhee.
Gastaldi eventually folded, and MacPhee had realized the problem. "Can you make him keep his orange chips in front, too?" he asked the dealer. "I didn't even see he had a half-million sitting there."
