Blain Likes the River
Antonio Pericolo and Dermot Blain tangled up in a pot that left Blain all in on the turn. The board read , and it looks like Pericolo had bet 6,000 before we walked up. Blain had shoved for 14,650, and Pericolo had turned the nuts with his . Blain showed down , and his two pair needed to fill up to keep him afloat.

At this point, the dealer left both hands face-up, and she grabbed Blain's chips, stacked them on top of the pot, and pushed them toward Pericolo. The table stopped her, and Blain's bet was pulled back out. With both hands still face-up, she began to count the pot... and the table once again corrected her and told her to count Blain's stack. She didn't understand at first, and it was another moment before she realized that Blain had made a full house. Finally, the double-up was paid off, and Blain is up to about 36,000 now.
