Jacobson Waltzes Through the Ritz
As we crept quietly into level four the antes showed up for the first time today as did Martin Jacobson's trade mark white cans. Poker players tend to turn up at these events wearing the same clothes, or bringing along the same poker apparel, and we can only assume they are either superstitious or skint! In the case of Jacobson, with his unenviable European Poker Tour record, we will assume he just likes his white cans. Either way they don't seem to be doing him any harm as this following hand demonstrates.
Jacobson dropped 400 in front of him from early position and three people called. The flop came down and Jacobson bet 1,200 and only Christophe Ritz made the call. The turn was the and Jacobson again dropped in a bet, this time of 2,400 and Ritz quickly called. The river was a rather connecting looking and Jacobson went for his third barrel, delivering it in exactly the same way as his two other post flop bets. It was for 4,700 and Ritz had a long, hard think before finally deciding to believe the story the Swede was trying so hard to sell.
