McDonald Gets Jaros Again
Petr Jaros is not having a good time with Mike McDonald at his table. McDonald doubled through him just before the dinner break, and the two men have gone at it again. In the meantime, McDonald has continued to accumulate, and this hand would only further that trend.
The pot began with a raise to 22,000 from McDonald in late position, and Jaros flatted from the small blind. Heads up, the dealer spread out , and Jaros check-called 27,000. He check-called another 66,000 after the turn, and he check-tanked on the river. McDonald put him to the test with one more bet of 128,000, and it would be several agonizing minutes before Jaros made the call.
McDonald showed down the same pocket aces that had bitten Jaros earlier. This time it was , and it was plenty good enough to win the pot.
