We have been singing the praises of the performance of Zimnan Ziyard since we got three-way and now it is our turn to give the German a shout out. Hauke Heseding has started to play a lot more aggressive (or he is picking up some well-timed monsters) as you can see in the following hands:
Heseding raised to 200,000 on the button and Ziyard three-bet to 500,000 from the small blind. Heseding moved all-in very quickly and Ziyard was the one left facing the tough test. "Are you strong this time or do you have king-ten?" Asked Ziyard before eventually folding his hand.
Ziyard then opened up to 200,000 on the button and Heseding three-bet to 700,000 in the big blind. "I don't think I can fold this time," said Ziyard before sliding one tower of yellows into the middle to make the call. The flop was and Heseding checked to Ziyard and he bet a cool 500,000. Back to Heseding and he moved all-in and Ziyard sheepishly folded.
Meanwhile John Taramas is just sat there with a great big smile on his face.
What started to drag has now become a completely fascinating contest. Hauke Heseding has definitely wised up to Zimnan Ziyard's game somewhat.
How do we know this? Well first, he open shoved for around 3.5 million from the small blind into Ziyard when John Taramas folded the button. Then a couple of hands later, he moved all in over the top of a Taramas button raise of 215,000 to win another pot.
Finally, he even managed to peel a Ziyard raise but check-folded to a 250,000 bet on the flop.
This contest is getting more and more interesting with Ziyard in command, Taramas holding back and Heseding attempting to grab what he can, when he can.
This is becoming a bad joke for Zimnan Ziyard. The man from the UK is playing perfect poker but the poker gods just don't want to help him out. Ziyard must have won every hand for three entire orbits. He then raised to 200,000 on the button and Hauke Heseding moved all-in for 1,630,000 in the big blind and Ziyard called.

Heseding was on his way out on third place, that was until the flop came down - . To his credit Ziyard took it on the chin and even when the board bricked off for him he was gracious in defeat. Heseding now has an average stack and the media have just gone to look for some sleeping bags!
Now this is just getting more and more interesting.
John Taramas raised to 300,000 from the button but before we could say, "Maybe Ziyard will three-bet here..." Hauke Heseding had moved all in from the small blind. Ziyard then made it a cool million straight and Taramas folded.

The flop brought some extra outs for the German, coming but the on the turn pushed him in front, Ziyard could only catch the but the river was the and Heseding more than doubled up.
Zimnan Ziyard raised to 160,000 preflop once again from the button. John Taramas moved all in for about 1.7 million and then Hauke Heseding moved all in as well behind him too! Ziyard folded.

The Greeks danced around in jubilation as the board came out - Taramas is now in second place, Heseding has almost nothing left.
