Day 5: Final Table Here We Come
Welcome to Day 5 of the 2011 PokerStars.com European Poker Tour London Poker Festival Main Event. Just 24 players remain from the original starting field of 691. All are guaranteed £19,000, but the number everyone is aiming for today is £64,000 -- the amount you'll earn for reaching the final table.
Leading the way into play today is Sweden's Mattias Bergstrom with 1.838 million in chips -- only slightly ahead of Spain's Adria Balaguer (1.828 million) and Germany's Pascal Hartmann (1.8 million).
Also remaining are Team PokerStars Pro Juan Manuel Pastor, Steve O'Dwyer, Benny Spindler, Joao Barbosa and Martins Adeniya. Sebastian Blom, brother of Team PokerStars Pro Viktor Blom, is the short stack returning to play with just 59,000 in chips.
There is no set schedule for today in terms of length. The tournament will play as long as is needed to reach the final table, so it could be a very short one or a very long long one. We're rooting for the former, but either way PokerNews will be on hand for every minute of the action to bring it to you. Play kicks off at noon.
