McClung Flats, Then Shoves

From the hijack seat, Sebastian Blom raised to 12,500. Christopher McClung flat-called from the cutoff seat and Mattias Bergstrom called from the small blind. In the big blind was Martins Adeniya. He squeezed in a three-bet to 41,000. Blom folded, but then McClung moved all in for around 170,000-180,000. McClung folded and then Adeniya quickly tossed his hand in as well, giving McClung the pot on the back raise.

Rosen Check-Raises Adeniya on River

Preflop, action passed to Martins Adeniya on the button. He opened with a raise to 12,500. In the big blind, Jamie Rosen made the call and the two players took the {A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop before checking to see the {J-Diamonds} land on the turn. Rosen checked again and Adeniya bet 16,000. Rosen called. The river completed the board with the {10-Hearts} and Rosen checked. After Adeniya fired 27,000, Rosen check-raised to 76,000. Adeniya folded and Rosen scooped the pot.

Beris Folds to Gurtovoy

Action folded to Anatoly Gurtovoy in the cutoff seat. He raised to 15,000. From the next seat, on the button, Ioannis Beris reraised to 37,500. The two blinds folded and then Gurtovoy went into the tank. Eventually, he reraised to 85,000. Beris thought about it, but thought better and folded. He showed that he was laying down the {A-Spades}.

Day 4: Mitchell in Charge

Welcome back to Day 4 of the 2011 PokerStars.com European Poker Tour London Poker Festival Main Event. With 62 players remaining, the plan today is to make it down until the final 24. That'll be the final three tables and set the stage for tomorrow's penultimate day.

Leading the way into Day 4 is James Mitchell, the 2010 Irish Open champion. Mitchell is the only player above one million in chips, but he's not the only notable with a large bag of chips to stack up to start the day. Martins Adeniya (786,800), Sandor Demjan (691,000) and Kevin Iacofono (623,500) are in the top ten while Team PokerStars Pro Juan Manuel Pastor along with Steven Kelly and Jamie Rosen are all above average. Ana Marquez, Humberto Brenes and Salvatore Bonavena are the three other Team Pros still in contention.

Play is set to kick off promptly at noon local time here in London and it's going to be an exciting day on the felt. Be sure to follow along with our payouts page right here on PokerNews in order to keep track of who busts where and keep in mind that there's £750,000 going to first place. That's still a ways away, but surely everyone's chopping at the bit for a chance at it.
