Makiievskyi Steps Afoul
A player in middle position opened to 525, and he was called by Liutauras Armanavicius (cutoff) and Alain Roy (button). In the big blind Anton Makiievskyi squeezed in another raise to 2,200, folding the initial raiser out of the way. Armanavicius and Roy both called, though, and they went off to a three-handed flop.
The dealer spread , and Makiievskyi continued out with another 4,000 chips. Armanavicius didn't waste much time calling, Roy ducked out of the way, and it was heads-up the rest of the way. The two men checked through the turn, and the river filled out the board. Makiievskyi figured another bet was in order, and he made it 7,000 to see his cards. Armanavicius called rather quickly once again, and Makiievskyi could only turn up for the airball. His opponent's was easily best, and the November Niner has dropped back to about 18,000 with that loss.
