Johnson Rides the Tournament Rollercoaster
William Johnson has had a bit of a rollercoaster ride the past 20 minutes or so.
First we witnessed him betting out 120,000 on a flop and then calling a reraise to 270,000 from Ruslan Prydryk. But Johnson decided not to call the push from Prydryk on the turn (perhaps it was the way Prydryk looked him right in the eye as he pushed his chips across the line), and Johnson dropped to a million. Prydryk is at 1.5 million now.
Next hand Johnson opened for 66,000, but Franck Pepe pushed behind and Johnson gave it up. Down to 930,000. Pepe showed him and upped his stack to 650,000, although he dropped back to 550,000 the next hand he raised but then folded to a reraise from Didier Mazairac.
Johnson made another few failed raises, and few hands later he got a few chips back when Mazairac bet out 70,000 on a flop. Johnson folded and Mazairac folded, and Johnson showed pocket . Back up to 900,000.
