The Fabian Society
Level 24
: 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante
Fabian Holling opened to 61,000 from early position and Andrzej Nowak-Rogozinski called from the big blind to see a flop. Nowak-Rogozinski checked and Holling carried on with a 72,000 continuation bet but the Pole check-raised to 175,000.
"What's the minimum raise?" asked the German, who was told if he raised he had to make it at least 350,000. (In France the minimum raise is double the actual bet, not double the raise size).
Despite this Holling ended up just flat-calling and Nowak-Rogozinski cautiously checked the turn. Holling now fired 180,000 this time which was enough to take down the pot after Nowak-Rogozinski regretfully gave up his cards.
