Day 1b Concludes
The second start day here at EPT Copenhagen has come to a close after another tough field chewed itself down to just 135 survivors. In total 449 players have made their way through the impressive yet gentle snow to play poker against one of the most polite yet aggressive fields on the EPT circuit, and Domantas Klimciauskas tops the remaining chip counts with an impressive 203,800.
Right behind him is Michael Aron with 191,000, a player whose lead seemed unshakeable until the last session of the night when the young Lithuanian surged ahead. They'll be joined by the (now rested) Day 1a survivors tomorrow at midday to play in the direction of the money. 64 places are paid - please click the 'Prizepool and payouts' tab for details.
Also living to fight across the felt another day are Team PokerStars Pros John Duthie, JP Kelly, Florian Langmann, Toni Judet and Vadim Markushevski - at one point Duthie and Kelly were in front of the field but eight one-hour levels can change a lot. Joining them tomorrow will be several EPT victors including Arnaud Mattern, and Jake Cody.
Live reporting will begin as soon as the 'pause' button is unclicked tomorrow afternoon.
