A Lores Unto Himself
The exits continue to come thick and fast, and although we don't want to jinx things, it feels as though we're due a slowdown.
Jinxing aside, though, the latest casualty is Federico Cipollini of Italy. He went all in with on a flop, but Jorge Lores was holding for a set and made the call. Cipollini experienced no miracles on the turn and river, and he was gone.
And just a couple hands later, a short raising war between Drasutis Tauras Narmontas and our friend Jorge Lores culminated in a preflop showdown, Narmontas revealing and Lores turning over . The first card out of the deck was an ace, and Lores was up to around a million, roughly doubling his stack in two hands.
