Spielmann Gets a Second Chance

With very similar-looking stacks, Leo Spielmann and Jose Besalduch got it all in before the flop on a coinflip. Besalduch was a slight favorite with his {8-Diamonds} {8-Spades}, and Spielmann was working with {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} on the other side.

The dealer ran out a board of {2-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {2-Spades} {3-Clubs}, good enough to make Besalduch the winning full house. Spielmann headed to the payout desk, but his exit was a bit premature. The table had to call him back over when the dealer gave him a rather unimpressive 2,000 in change.

Spielmann was shocked at the good news, and he returned to commit his final 1,500 chips to the next pot. It was three-way action, and the flop brought {5-Spades} {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts}. Konstantinos Alexiou called a bet of 16,000 from Lex Veldhuis, but he would surrender to a second bet when the {8-Spades} hit fourth street. That was the end of the betting, and it was time to see if Spielmann could earn his first little double back.

Veldhuis turned up {A-Spades} {2-Spades} for two pair, and the all-in player was drawing live to four outs with {4-Clubs} {7-Clubs}. The river was a brick though, the {K-Hearts}, and Spielmann can finally head to the cashier to collect his prize money.
