A Frenchman, A German and A Spaniard Named Jesus
The title sounds like the build up to a joke but alas it is not. It is actually introducing you to three hands that have just taken place here at the Hilton.
Hand 1: Former November Niner, Antoine Saout opened on the button with a raise to 650 and only the small blind came along for the ride. A flop of was met with a bet of 850 from the small blind, but he soon gave up his hand when Saout made it 2,600 to play.
Hand 2: The Italian-sounding German, Giuseppe Pantaleo min-raised from early position to 400, a bet that folded everyone out except the small blind, who bet two red chips and a single black one, a raise to 2,100. Once the big blind got out of the way the action was back on Pantaleo and the EPT Barcelona final table member put in a further raise, this time to a more substantial 5,000, enough to fold out his singular opponent.
Hand 3: EPT Barcelona runner-up Jesus Cortes Lizano got things under way with a raise in early position to 525 but probably did not bank on the hijack, cutoff and big blind calling! The flop saw the big blind check, Lizano follw suit but the hijack bet 1,450, which prompted a snigger from the rest of the table, suggesting he's been stealing plenty lately. We'll keep our eye on him.
