Marko Mikovic raised to 50,000 in the hijack and Marko Neumann called in the cutoff. Marc Inizan indulged himself with one of his trademark dwells before calling from the small blind, and they saw a flop.
Flop:
It checked to Neumann, who bet 100,000. Inizan got out of the way fairly quickly, but Mikovic now pushed all in. Call.
Jude Ainsworth either limped or raised in the small blind; either way Marc Inizan in the big blind had 87,000 invested in the pot by the time Ainsworth moved all in for 512,000.
Inizan dwelled up for what seemed like a million years (it's getting late here in Berlin) and eventually Ainsworth called the clock. Inizan continued to dwell, before folding at 10 seconds.
The Duc No has been the short stack for awhile. He began the level with 175,000. And as eliminations have become few and far between, all of the players kept checking on No's progress. He moved all in from middle position for his last 119,000. Johannes Strassmann called on the button, and then Theo Jorgensen moved his giant stack all in. Strassmann deferred to the chip leader, and it was time for a race between No's pocket 10s and Jorgensen's . The pair held up, meaning Mr. Short Stack tripled up.
Evgeniy Zaytsev opened his small blind, and Eike Seidel defended his big blind. The coordinated flop came . Zaytsev bet out 46,000. Very slowly, Seidel decided to raise to 125,000. In less than a second, Zaytsev decided to move all in. With over 1 million, Zaytsev had Seidel well covered.
Seidel spent about 5 minutes thinking. Zaytsev's rail, about six or seven deep, surged around the table. The floor tried to clear them out of the area reserved for players and media, but they refused to leave until after the hand. And just when we thought the hand would never end, Seidel folded and saved his last 410,000 for another spot.
A blind-on-blind confrontation ended badly for Norman Kastner (big blind) as he made it to the turn of the board only to find himself faced with a 260,000 bet from Theo Jorgensen (small blind).
Kastner tanked up long enough for Jorgensen to call the clock, and then continued to tank all the way through his allotted one minute. He didn't even move when he timed out and his hand was declared dead; furthermore he showed no reaction at all when Jorgensen showed him offsuit for a complete bluff. Perhaps someone needs a hug.
Jude Ainsworth raised in the cutoff and Nico Behling in the big blind was the only caller to see the flop, which they both checked.
The turn was the and this time Behling bet out an amount that looked like around 60,000, but before the dealer even had a chance to count it, Ainsworth announced all in, Behling passed, and former-chip-daddy-fallen-on-hard-times Ainsworth bumped his stack up to 510,000. Behling is left with 350,000.
On a board, Joao Barbosa bet out 115,000, almost the size of the pot, and Jan Collado called. The river was the , and Barbosa made it 210,000 to see a showdown. Collado tanked for four minutes before flipping up the and folding. Barbosa was sitting on 820,000 after the hand, and Collado has slipped to 525,000.
Marko Neumann raised to 51,000 before Stefan Huber reraised from the cutoff seat to 136,000. Neumann was in early position and made the call, having to play out of position from here on out in the hand against one of the biggest stacks in the room.
The flop came down and Neumann checked. Huber checked behind.
The turn card added the to the board and Neumann checked. Huber fired 86,000 and Neumann made the call.
The river paired the board with aces when the landed. Neumann checked and Huber fired 216,000. Neumann made the call and then Huber tabled his full house with the . Neumann mucked and dropped to 685,000. Huber now has 2.1 million.
Carlos Oliveira raised ll in for 256,000 from the hijack seat and then Marcel Koller reraised all in from the cutoff seat. Everyone else folded and the two were heads up.
Oliveira:
Koller:
The board ran out and Koller earned the elimination of Oliveira to move up to 900,000 chips.
