Play Resumes

TD Thomas Kremser has introduced the last two players standing: Pieter de Korver and Matthew Woodward. The mind wonders if they did a deal at dinner (it's a huge €1,000,000 difference between second place and first place). Whether or not they did, cards are in the air.

Dinner Time

Well, now that we're heads up, the tournament staff have decided to send the television crew to dinner. Play will resume in one hour.

Hand #109 - Mikhail Tulchinskiy Eliminated in Third Place (€800,000)

Tulchinskiy - sigh
Tulchinskiy - sigh
Matthew Woodward makes it 475,000, and Mikhail Tulchinskiy re-pops him for 1,200,000 from the big blind. Woodward dwells up, only his eyes moving frantically around the table, and then announces that he's moving all in for 7,810,000. Tulchinskiy looks as though Woodward just told him his kitten died -- but then he calls!

Woodward: {3-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}
Tulchinskiy: {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts}

Board: {J-Hearts} {2-Spades} {8-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {2-Hearts}

A load of incredibly ungentlemanly cheering from the rail greets the now possibly close-to-vomiting Tulchinskiy as he exits in third place. Pieter de Korver, the freeroll champion of Holland and now heads up, looks as happy as a kid in a candy store just to be here.
