Schulze Takes Half of Sousa's Chips

Ricardo Sousa opened the pot with a 60,000 raise from under-the-gun and Michael Schulze made the call from the big blind. Both players checked the {K-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{A-Clubs} flop, opting to see a free turn card - the {9-Spades}.

Schulze then took command of the hand, firing a 50,000 bet which was called by Sousa. The last card off the deck was the {3-Hearts} and Schulze fired again, doubling his bet on the turn. Sousa tanked for a minute or so before eventually sliding a stack of 5,000 chips across the betting line to make the call. At the showdown, Schulze revealed {A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for two pair and a frustrated Sousa chucked his {A-Spades}{7-Clubs} face up into the muck.

After the hand, Sousa was left with approximately 230,000 in chips while Schulze took one step closer to two million.
