Hand #171 - Glen Chorny

The button is with Denes Kalo in Seat 1.

Maxime Villemure completes from the small blind and Glen Chorny checks his option.

On a flop of {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} Villemure check-calls a 75,000 chip bet from Chorny.

The turn is the {5-Spades} and both check. The {4-Spades} comes on the river and Villemure checks again over to Chorny who fires 150,000. Villemure passes and Chorny collects another pot.

Hand #170 - Maxime Villemure

Isaac Baron has the button in Seat 8. Denes Kalo completes the small blind, Maxime Villemure raises to 145,000 and Kalo calls. The flop is {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Kalo checks and a 175,000 bet from Villemure takes it down.

Hand #169 - Denes Kalo

The button is with Glen Chorny in Seat 7.

Denes Kalo and Isaac Baron take a flop of {6-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Kalo checks and Baron bets out for 100,000. Kalo calls.

The turn is the {6-Clubs} and this time Kalo leads with a bet of 275,000 and Baron calls.

The river is the {K-Clubs} and Kalo fires 500,000 into the middle. Baron goes into the tank, with around 1.4 million in chips already in the pot. It is believed that Kalo calls for the clock as Baron continues to deliberate. As the seconds tick down, he eventually finds a fold and Kalo takes down a huge pot.

Hand #164 - Isaac Baron

Maxime Villemure has the button in Seat 6. Glen Chorny completes the small blind, Isaac Baron raises to 180,000 and Chorny calls. The flop is {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Chorny checks, Baron bets 250,000, Chorny raises to 600,000, Baron three-bets to 1.1 million, Chorny folds, and Baron wins the pot.

Small Ball?

The players appear to be treading very carefully post-flop recently, with a lot of pots being checked through until the river showdown. Perhaps the players have one eye on the escalating payouts, and with the deep stacks they feel no need to do anything silly and become the next player eliminated! Or are they just waiting for the right moment to strike?
