Esfandiari Over-Bet Shoves Flop

In a pot that didn't appear to have more than 30,000 chips in it, Chino Rheem had to call off 148,800 to call Antonio Esfandiari's all in. The flop was {9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{k-Spades} and Rheem tanked for about five minutes. He told Esfandiari a couple of times that his first instinct was to fold it but couldn't get much of a reaction from his opponent. Eventually, Rheem slid out the chips and was disappointed when Esfandiari quickly tabled the nuts, {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Rheem did still have outs for a chop though holding {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} which gave Rheem outs to win the pot by making a full-house but the river did neither for him when it fell the {2-Hearts}.

Esfandiari is now a top 5 stack with 325,000 while Rheem is down to just 100,000.
