The final 27 players are now on a 60-minute dinner break. Once players return the day will play down until 15 players remain, at which point all survivors will advance to Day 2 and be in the money.
With three players seeing a final board of 6♥J♦3♥A♥6♦ and 40,000 already in the middle, Nacho Cuesta bet 10,000 from the big blind and Fabio Cardoso called from the hijack. Xoan Mourino moved all in for roughly 40,000 from the button and Cuesta quickly folded.
Cardoso went into the tank, cutting out calling chips and evaluating what his stack would be like if he called and was wrong. Finally after a few minutes he decided to fold and Mourino took down a nice pot without showdown.

In a preflop confrontation Michael Stewart found himself all in and at risk from middle position against EAPT Barcelona champion Fernando Santa Maria who held a covering stack.
Michael Stewart: A♥3♥
Fernando Santa Maria: A♦Q♣
Stewart was dominated by a bigger ace but took the lead on the 6♥4♣3♠ flop. Santa Maria reclaimed the lead on the Q♥ turn but still had to fade Stewart who had picked up the nut-flush draw. The 7♠ river was a brick and Stewart made his exit from the tournament area while Santa Maria collected the last of his chips.

A player from middle position opened to 5,000 and Cristobal Ochoa defended from the big blind.
The flop came K♥5♦2♦. Ochoa checked, the original raiser bet 3,500, Ochoa check-raised to 7,500 and his opponent made the call.
Ochoa bet 12,500 on the Q♥ turn and was once again called by his opponent.
On the K♦ river Ochoa bet 20,000, sending his opponent into the tank.
After a couple minutes the middle position player made the call. Ochoa tabled 10♦6♦ for a flush which was good enough to take down a healthy pot.
