Magradze's Stack Takes a Huge Hit After Turuskan Blunders

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Beka Magradze
Beka Magradze

Beka Magradze had min-raised from under the gun and the action folded all the way around to Kerem Turuskan in the small blind. Turuskan then shoved for around 2,700,000, having not seen the open of Magradze. The big blind folded, then Magradze snap-called.

"I didn't see you open," said Turuskan.

To be fair to the Turkish player, he is sitting in seat eight with a slightly obstructed view of Magradze, who is seated in seat one. Either way, the damage was done and the chips were in the middle.

Beka Magradze: QQ

It wasn't the worst spot that Turuskan could have found himself in and the situation flipped in his favor after the flop of 53K, much to the dismay of the Georgian rail. No queen arrived on either the 3 turn or J river which meant Turuskan leapt up the leaderboard, and Magradze was left with just 700,000.

Kakhaber Sabauri shoved from the button for exactly 600,000 and Zoran Marich called from the small blind.

Sabuari was in a word of hurt but despite Marich pairing his king, he did pick up a flush draw on the K8A flop. The Q turn added a gutshot, and the 5 river complete Sabuari's flush which kept him alive in the Main Event.

Arkadii Sharoian Eliminated in 18th Place ($3,070)

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Arkadii Sharoian

Beka Magradze raised to 1,200,000 from the button to apply pressure to the shorter stacks in the blinds, and Arkadii Sharoian called off his last 600,000 from the small blind.

Arkadii Sharoian: JJ All in
Beka Magradze: K10

Sharoian was in a great spot to double up but that seemed unlikely after Magradze improved to trips on the 10103 flop. Only a jack could keep Sharoian alive but neither the 4 turn nor 6 river could deliver any assistance.

Turuskan Spikes a Queen

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Kerem Turuskan
Kerem Turuskan

Kerem Turuskan raised to 160,000 from early position and Paruyr Mamikonyan shoved from the small blind for around 2,000,000. Turuskan had 1,360,000 total and after a short time thinking, he flicked in a chip to make the call.

Kerem Turuskan: AQ All in
Paruyr Mamikonyan: AK

Mamikonyan was extremely displeased with the 10Q4 flop as he let out an aggressive roar of disgust. It wasn't over as Turuskan still needed to fade a king or jack if he wanted to survive and he did manage to fade as the runout of 10A kept him in the lead.

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

On the flop of Q58, Abgaryan continued for 165,000, then Magradze raised to 500,000. Abgaryan was thinking for so long that his tablemates called the clock, and after a minute countdown he still hadn't acted, so his hand was declared dead.
