Fernando Santa Maria raised to 80,000 under the gun before Antonio Pagliuca shoved for his last 550,000 in the small blind. Santa Maria quickly called.

Antonio Pagliuca: 55
Fernando Santa Maria: KQ

Santa Maria picked up some outs on the J610 flop with a straight draw to go with his two overcards, and he hit the Q on the turn to make a pair.

Pagliuca was looking for a two-outer on the river to stay alive but instead saw the K fall, sending him to the rail in 10th place.

The remaining nine players are now on a break before the final table begins.
