Another One for Auset

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Anders Auset opened the button for 225,000 with {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} before he called a three-bet to 800,000 from Mathias Siljander with {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

The {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop gave Auset a straight. Siljander checked-folded a bet of 1,000,000 from Auset and stacks are close to even.

Auset Narrows the Gap

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Anders Auset opened the button with {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} before Mathias Siljander three-bet to 800,000 from the big blind.

Auset called and both players called the {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop. Auset took down the pot after the {3-Diamonds} came on the turn with a bet of 1,000,000 and a fold from his opponent.

Mats Albertsen Eliminated in 3rd Place (€25,100)

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Mats Albertsen
Mats Albertsen

Mats Albertsen jammed for approximately 12 big blinds from the button with {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and was snap-called by Anders Auset from the big blind with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

Help was not on its way for Albertsen. The former Coolbet Open Main Event champion bricked the {4-Spades}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{q-Spades}{2-Spades} board and instead of winning back to back titles, he will walk home with the third-place prize of €25,100.

The tournament is now on a small break before heads-up play begins with Mathias Siljander holding a 2:1 chip advantage to start off the action.

Albertsen Doubles Off Auset

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Anders Auset jammed from the small blind with {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for 3.6 million, more than covering the 1.2 million that Mats Albertsen had behind. Albertsen made the quick call with {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

Albertsen doubled up after the {j-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board gave him trips and he pushed past Auset into second place in the chip counts.

Albertsen and Siljander Hit Top Three Two Coolbet Open Main Events in a Row

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

It's almost deja vu! Mats Albertsen won the Coolbet Open Main Event in October and Mathias Siljander took third place. Both players are back on the podium once again and have become Coolbet Open legends in the process.

To add to the epic top three, Anders Auset already won a trophy this festival. He took down the Coolbet Open €220 Warm-up Event earlier in the week for €4,305.
