Sanoubane Makes Hero Fold, Then Doubles

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Bobby Sanoubane
Bobby Sanoubane

Bobby Sanoubane and Steve Wilkie both defended a raise from Nate Zoller out of the small- and big blinds, respectively, to take action three-handed to a flop of {4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Zoller saw action checked to him and he made a continuation-bet of 75,000, which both Sanoubane and Wilkie called.

The turn fell {7-Clubs} and Sanoubane checked. Wilke bet 175,000 and Zoller folded, putting action back on Sanoubane. After two minutes, he slid out a check-raise to 400,000. Wilkie then went into the tank before putting out chips to call.

The river came {a-Hearts} and Sanoubane thought for a while before checking. Wilkie announced he was all in.

"Will you show, Steve?" asked Sanoubane.

"Yep, I will," responded Wilkie.

Sanoubane took another 15 seconds and folded.

"Good fold," Wilkie said, showing only the {4-Diamonds} as he took in the pot, extending his chip lead.

Sanoubane had 485,000 left and got it in on the next hand when he three-bet all in over a raise from Barb Visher. Visher made the call.

Bobby Sanoubane: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Barb Visher: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{q-Spades}{4-Spades} and just like that, Sanoubane found himself right back over 1 million in chips.

Sanoubane Finds a Triple

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Bobby Sanoubane
Bobby Sanoubane

Nate Zoller was in the cutoff and opened to 100,000. He received a call from Barb Visher, who was on the button, and Bobby Sanoubane three-bet all in for 335,000. Both Zoller and Visher called, putting Sanoubane in an opportunity to triple his stack.

With Zoller and Visher competing for the side pot, both checked through the runout {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. On each street, Sanoubane's rail got more and more excited with the lack of action in the side pot. After the river, the dealer asked for all hands to be shown.

"Bobby wins," said Zoller.

Bobby Sanoubane: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Nate Zoller: {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Barb Visher: {8-Spades}{9-Spades}

Zoller was correct, as Sanoubane's queens up proved to be the best hand. With the triple, Sanoubane now finds himself over 1 million in chips.

Jon Cohen Eliminated in 6th Place ($12,804)

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jon Cohen
Jon Cohen

Bobby Sanoubane limped in from the hijack and Jon Cohen raised to 75,000 in the cutoff, leaving himself 10,000 behind. Nate Zoller called from the small blind and Sanoubane put in the remaining required chips to call. The flop fell {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and action checked to Cohen, who went all in. Both players called and checked down the turn {q-Diamonds} and river {k-Diamonds}, taking the hand to showdown.

Jon Cohen: {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Bobby Sanoubane: {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Nate Zoller: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

When all was said and done, Zoller's pair of kings was good to earn the pot as Cohen became the sixth-place finisher in the tournament, taking home $12,804 for his efforts.

Visher Leaves Cohen on Crumbs

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

There was around 240,000 in the pot on a board reading {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{q-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Jon Cohen had a bet of 75,000 in front of him from the big blind. Action was back on him, facing a raise to 425,000 from Barb Visher in the cutoff.

Eventually, Cohen slid forward chips to call, totaling almost his entire stack.

Visher tabled {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for the nut flush and Cohen mucked his hand, leaving himself with 100,000. He then paid his small blind, leaving him with under three big blinds left in his stack.

Second Barrel Works for Needens

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Randy Needens opened to 70,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Barb Visher, who defended her big blind. The flop came {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Visher checked. Needens cut out a continuation-bet of 120,000 and Visher called.

The turn fell {3-Diamonds} and Visher checked to Needens, who put two stacks of green T25,000 next to each other, four tall, with five red T5,000 chips on top of them. He then used both hands to slide the chips forward, completing the bet.

Visher counted out chips to call and then cut them out, shuffling them as she continued to think about her decision. She then picked up her card protector and slid her cards forward to the muck, congratulating Needens on a nice hand as she did so.
